“Ah, but there are three hundred and sixty four unbirthdays!”

16 Nov

Another Magical Magic Kingdom Memory comes from our most recent trip to Walt Disney World…

The night we went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party we had dinner reservations @ Cinderella’s Magic Table. None of us had ever eaten @ CRT, but I was told by the Cast Member when I booked our reservation that the Fairy Godmother would come around and annouce what everyone was celebrating as we ate. We had four birthdays in our group, including my own and our son’s so I was thrilled to hear this!

After we had our pictures taken with Cinderella (with whom our 2-year-old fell in love with and even got a kiss on the cheek by!), we were seated in the dinning hall. Sure enough, after we had received our entrees, the Fairy Godmother came out and began walking around and interacting with everyone. Pretty soon she started talking about this being the year to celebrate at Walt Disney World and how birthdays were a celebration we all shared. She asked who was celebrating their b-day and plenty of hands went into the air. She said something to the effect of, “Well look @ all of these lovely princesses…A very Happy Birthday to you all!” She was walking around the room wishing everyone a Happy Birthday and saw me and said, “And a special birthday to Pirate Bob as well!” I was so excited! And happy that I had worn my b-day badge so I could get a special shout-out. ºOº

Oh, and the special b-day desserts were delicious too!
