Unlock Your Influence

Klout Profile

Being the social media geek that I am, I frequently check Klout to see my Klout Score and what topics I am “influential” in.  What is Klout?

Klout measures your influence based on your ability to drive action on social networks. We crunch your social data to give you insight into how influential you are and what you are influential about.

Inspiring your friends to talk about and try a new sushi bar down the street after you post a photo of the incredible sushi you had is an example of influence.

We believe everyone has influence. The more engagement and action you inspire with the content you create, the greater your influence.

For more on How Klout Works, click here.

The nice thing about Klout is that you have the ability to earn Klout Perks.

Klout Perks are rewards given to you from brands in recognition of your influence.

They are based on your Klout Score, topics and location.

I’ve enjoyed such perks as tickets to early movie screenings, coffee, discounts at online retailers, and more.

While viewing my Klout Profile today, I decided to take a look at the Topics I am currently most influential about.  I’ve been holding steady with Social Media, Disney, Disney Moms, Blogging, and Coffee being by top five topics.  Today, I checked out the Disney Moms topic and discovered that I am the only Dad listed in what is a great group of influential Moms online.  Wow!  This is quite an honor I must say.

Funny you posted this. I saw this yesterday on twitter. Congrats!
I must be a bit of a geek too but don’t tell my husband I admitted that. I just resigned up with Klout after several months being off of it.
At this point my score is very low because it hasn’t had time to figure out my influence but hopefully soon it will.

I have heard about Klout, but not had the time to look into it. Due to your great post Bob, I have added it to my list! Seems like a great idea!
