Being the social media geek that I am, I frequently check Klout to see my Klout Score and what topics I am “influential” in.  What is Klout?

Inspiring your friends to talk about and try a new sushi bar down the street after you post a photo of the incredible sushi you had is an example of influence.

The nice thing about Klout is that you have the ability to earn Klout Perks.

Klout Perks are rewards given to you from brands in recognition of your influence.

They are based on your Klout Score, topics and location.

I’ve enjoyed such perks as tickets to early movie screenings, coffee, discounts at online retailers, and more.

While viewing my Klout Profile today, I decided to take a look at the Topics I am currently most influential about.  I’ve been holding steady with Social Media, Disney, Disney Moms, Blogging, and Coffee being by top five topics.  Today, I checked out the Disney Moms topic and discovered that I am the only Dad listed in what is a great group of influential Moms online.  Wow!  This is quite an honor I must say.
